Garage Permit Application

I submitted my application for a permit to build my garage. So far, staff has been very helpful. This is a view from the south of my garage. As you can see, it is well below the height limit, which is fifteen feet for detached garages. God forbib I should go above height limit.
Here is a link to my online permit information on the city's website:

Congrats ESPI Sausage & Tocino Company

Congratulations ESPI!. ESPI won the Best Temporary Food Establishment award from the Snohomish County Health District. Last year, ESPI was the cleanest food establishment at the Taste of Edmonds. That means ESPI takes food safety very seriously, and I like that.

Public Disclosure is important!

I decided to disclose my CAT scan because I want the folks of Edmonds to know that I believe that government should be open. And I am willing to take it to extremes!

As the public can see, I have a heart, a spine, and plenty of guts. Also, I am likely to be visited by our great Edmonds paramedics in the near future. (If I can use my Mieko’s membership more, I might prevent that visit from happening).

Some new candidates (and unfortunately, some older incumbents) tend to regard the public disclosure of contributions as a menial exercise. It is not. A candidate who is not open about his campaign will not be open as an elected an official.

Government that is not open cannot be trusted. Period! So to all the new candidates (and all the old incumbents), stand up, and take the public disclosure process seriously. I know it’s complicated, but do more than your best. The public’s faith in government is at stake.

P.S. In the interest of fairness, I did crop off the lower portion of this CAT scan. I don’t think the public wants me to be THAT open.
