On Tuesday we will be honoring the term of Mauri Moore, who decided to not to run for re-election to council.
Mauri is VERY passionate and hardworking about her beliefs. If she agrees with you, she’s a saint, never missing an opportunity to advocate for your side. If she disagrees with you, she’s a formidable foe.
This is a quality I respect in council members. Good council members should fight hard for their beliefs, even when it may annoy other council members. We need to be true and sincere about our beliefs if we are to do our jobs correctly. Yes, Mauri annoyed me sometimes, but sometimes she also made me want to jump out of my seat and say “Way to go!”
Mauri, I will miss your fighting spirit on the council.
